We welcome everyone to join us in this exciting and novel collaboration between IAIR AND IACCP – the first ever joint conference! In this initiative we aim to bring people together from all around the globe and across disciplines for a connected and empowering experience celebrating all things intercultural and cross-cultural in Brisbane at the heart of the Sunshine State of Australia.
Experience the richness of cultural diversity in Australia, where there is a history of First Nations peoples spanning more the 60,000 years and an incredibly multicultural population made of many distinct groups. In fact, the Australasian region is one of the most diverse places in the world, having a large number of Indigenous cultures, a very high proportion of migrants, and a strong record of humanitarian resettlement. Yet, the region is also vast, both culturally and geographically. As such, there is strong, multidisciplinary interest and expertise within the region concerning culture and intercultural relations. We hope you will join this important event and bring your expertise and experience to join us in discussing some of the most important issues we face in the contemporary context.

A key objective of both IAIR and IACCP is to promote intercultural understanding and take an evidence-based approach to contemporary risks and opportunities in a globalised world. Our conference theme highlights how relationships are challenged, but also enabled by digital transformation and seeks to highlight new and emerging topics of interest in the fields of intercultural relations and cross-cultural psychology.
