Intercultural Engagement: Reflexivity, Reciprocity, and Responsibility. Mark your calendars!

The IAIR 2027 Conference will be at Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany, from 26th – 28th July, with preconference events on the 24th and 25th.

Established as an HEI site in 1995 and an independent institution since the year 2000, Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences provides the region of the so-called Bavarian Lower Main as we well as the Rhine-Main-Area with academically skilled work force in the fields of engineering, business, law and health care and at the crossroads of these disciplines with 3750 current students.

The Rhine-Main-Area is home to both national and international corporations as well as to small and medium-sized companies. Therefore, these enterprises need academics who also master socially demanding situations, including foreign languages and intercultural challenges.

Aschaffenburg UAS has implemented these aspects not only into its degree programmes but also into both its mission statement and strategy.

The city of Aschaffenburg hosts several notable sites of interest, including the Pompeiianum, Schloss Johannisburg, and the Stiftsbasilika St. Peter und Alexander.

The Aschaffenburg wine region is known for its vineyards along the Main River and the Kahl valley, and it’s also a producer of Apfelwein, apple wine.
